History

Archaeological evidence proofs that area of Krabi was populated 25-35 thousand years ago. The first record about the city was in the 13^th century. It was a vassal kingdom of Sukhothai and then of Ayutthaya. In 1872 Rama V awarded Krabi with the status of a town, and in 1875 – it got the status of the town of the fourth level. From this very moment began the history of Krabi as a single formation, independent of other provinces. Today, it is a popular tourist destination, where everyone can spend an unforgettable time.
